There are many factors affecting the deviation of conveyor belt, and the methods of correcting deviation are also different because of the different types of belt conveyor. The deviation phenomenon should be analyzed carefully and corresponding measures should be taken.

Fixed belt conveyor adopts fixed bracket, usually the outer end of both sides of the trough roller is installed at an Angle to the running direction of the conveyor belt. It must be pointed out that there is relative sliding between the conveyor belt and the deflection roller in this method, which will lead to the wear of the conveyor belt. Therefore, the inclination Angle of the side roller can not be too large, generally 2°~3°. Therefore, this method is only effective in the case of small deviation force.

 

In the large fixed belt conveyor is generally used in the rotary centering roller, the use of this roller, if the conveyor belt runs off, the bracket is rotated by the action of the eccentric force of the conveyor belt, which is equivalent to the conveyor belt running on a deflection roller. At this time, a speed difference V is generated between the rotating circumferential speed of the idler (Vt) and the running speed of the belt (Vd), and the idler gives a transverse force to the conveyor belt to push the conveyor belt to move in the opposite direction to V and return to the normal position.
